Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme – The scheme has been introduced to gove pension to old age people. The scheme has been enlarged with effect from Nov. 19/07 to include all persons above 65 years falling under BPL category. Consequently the coverage has expanded from 87 lakhs to 157 lakhs beneficiaries.
